Project: Skoda VRS

This car has been complimented with a full Pioneer PRS reference system from top to toe with a custom amp rack and custom subwoofer enclosure. In the front controlling the system is the new Pioneer DEH-P88PRS.The DEH-P88RS comes from the pedigree of the Pioneer Reference Series – driving pure sound staging in your car. Audio reproduction is competition-grade. The high performance DSP, 24-bit Burr-Brown Advanced Segment-Type DAC and digital Low Pass and High Pass Filters for both 2 and 3-way audio, deliver crystal audio quality with extremely low levels of noise. The tuner also features D4Q+ technology, which delivers advanced FM/AM stereo reception with noise reduction, eliminating external interference.

The unit features a Hi-Volt Output (5V), which provides a stronger signal to amp – again, with less noise and more definition. To optimise sound image, staging and frequency response, the DEH-P88RS uses automatic time alignment and equalisation to adjust the audio settings. In the front and rear doors the amazing Pioneer TS-C171PRS Reference Series, speakers that deliver precise audio quality with competition-grade power.




Amps...
For amps we chose the Pioneer PRS-D1000M Mono Channel Class-D Amplifier - With high levels of power and efficiency, the PRS-D1000M offers the best in digitally amplified audio. Incorporating the same internal circuitry used in our competition-class SPL amps, the PRS-D1000M generates up to 1200W of clear audio.



Perfection...
The custom built boot enclosure is holding a Pioneer TS-W12PRS - A subwoofer that can handle real power and equipped with the Voice Coil Cooling System (VCCS), which together with a giant magnetic circuit, draws heat away from the inside of the sub, so that the sound stays natural and your subwoofer keeps its cool. There's also a 3” (76 cm) dual layer long voice coil (2 x 4 ohm) that, combined with the extremely light Aramid Fibre Composite Cone, results in a very strong moving force.
